Types of Projects
Although my specialty is laying out book interiors and designing book covers, I have experience creating many types of print and visual media, including interactive screen media like PowerPoint.

Degrees of Involvement
I’m flexible and can adjust to your budget and schedule by being involved in the whole project or in just a few steps of the process (see also “Steps for Creating or Publishing a Book“).
- Entire projects, start to finish. Send me your typed-up files and all the images you want to include, and I will send you a finished book, poster, pamphlet, etc. I can help you select a printing service, or use whichever printer you’ve already chosen.
- Minor polishing of your project. I am happy to fit your budget and just do some basic clean-up and layout of what you already have. You tell me what you can spend, and I’ll tell you what I can do in that amount of time. A few hours of design work can often go a long way in making your project look more attractive and organized.
- Consultations. If you just have some questions you need answered, want some tips on working with text and graphics, or want to describe your project to me to get further ideas and an estimate, we can talk by phone or in person. The first 30 minutes of consulting is free, and that is usually plenty of time to make a lot of headway in planning your project.
- Software training. Some clients prefer to sit down with me at a computer and have me teach them how to use such programs as Adobe InDesign, Quark XPress, Word, Excel, or PowerPoint. I’m proficient in features such as styles, find/replace macros, and interactive, non-linear presentations.
Contact me on my contact page for an estimate for your project.
Software Programs
I am proficient in several industry-standard programs and familiar with specialized functions such as style sheets, find/replace sequences, macros, formulas and charts, mail merge, basic HTML, and non-linear presentations.
